Those arrested are aged between 26 and 63, including one woman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the raid,&nbsp;<strong>police seized gambling-related documents<\/strong>, computers, mobile phones, pre-paid cards and cash amounting to more than SGD$770,000 (US$572,600).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Channel News Asia, if found guilty the accused could face a fine of up to SGD$5,000 and up to six months in prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In April, three people were&nbsp;<strong>sentenced to prison for three months in&nbsp;<\/strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-three-sentenced-for-running-illegal-poker-club\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Singapore&nbsp;<\/a>for violating the country\u2019s Remote Gambling Act.&nbsp;<strong>Benjamin Ong Jia Wei, Serene Chan Li Shan, and Desmond Low Weimin<\/strong>&nbsp;were also ordered to pay&nbsp;<strong>a fine of S$20,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After continuously losing in poker, the group of friends decided\u00a0<strong>to open their own club through an online mobile app.<\/strong>\u00a0Low registered the club under the name of\u00a0<strong>Pokerrr2\u00a0<\/strong>and went online in 2018.
