They are accused of operating a call centre for an illegal online gambling network in a resort in the Muang District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the raid, officers seized computers, 300 phones and other assets related to gambling operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigations found the group had<strong>\u00a0booked out the whole resort\u00a0<\/strong>and hired locals as bodyguards. Like in other\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/thailand-6-arrested-for-illegal-gambling\">recent raids<\/a>, those arrested are also accused of breaching Covid-19 countermeasures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Bangkok Post,\u00a0<strong>all those arrested were handed over to the police for legal proceedings\u00a0<\/strong>and were checked for Covid-19 by medical staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few days ago, police <strong>raided an alleged gambling operation<\/strong>\u00a0taking place at a house in\u00a0<strong>Chawang District<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police arrested six people and seized various gambling cards and cash.
