Singapore.-\u00a0Singapore Pools<\/a>\u00a0has announced it has\u00a0temporarily shut two of its Livewire betting outlets\u00a0<\/strong>because a customer with Covid-19 visited the venues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The firm announced it had been notified by\u00a0the Ministry of Health\u00a0<\/strong>that a person with Covid-19 had visited Livewire at China Square between June 17 and 19. Singapore Pools registered the same person at another venue on June 15 and 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As a result,\u00a0the group has closed both venues until further notice<\/strong>\u00a0and said it would carry out deep cleaning and disinfection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Employees who were working at the two Livewire venues have been advised to stay at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Singapore Pools stated: “We will take guidance from the Ministry of Health on any further action that is needed.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Last week, authorities in Singapore<\/a> started to ease Covid-19 countermeasures <\/strong>after seeing a decline in cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Under \u201cPhase III\u201d controls, businesses such as museums, public libraries and cruises have been allowed to increase their capacity<\/strong> from 25 per cent to 50 per cent.
