The casino has shared an analysis of its first 2.5 months in operation and revealed it received an average of 550 guests per day and an average check per game of RUB8,439 (US$116).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Russia.- Shambhala Casino, the\u00a0second casino to open in Russia\u2019s Primorye Economic Zone<\/strong>, had published an analysis of its first 2.5 months in operation after\u00a0its soft launch in October<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company reported that between October and December 2020, the casino received an average of 550 guests per day<\/strong> and 700 on Fridays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guests spent an average of RUB8,439 (US$116) on gaming<\/strong>\u00a0and RUB1,539 on restaurant services. The majority of guests preferred to play machine games\u00a0<\/strong>but the biggest spenders<\/strong> favoured poker, followed by roulette and then machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Shambhala casino is located in\u00a0Russia\u2019s Primorye gambling zone<\/a>, where officials plan to develop\u00a012 casino complexes<\/strong>\u00a0despite slow progress amid the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first resort in the zone,\u00a0Summit Ascent\u2019s Tigre de Cristal, opened to the public in 2015.<\/strong>\u00a0It was followed almost five years later by Shambhala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RUB$3.5bn (US$45m) venue features 5,200 square meters of gaming space<\/strong>, a restaurant, two fast-food restaurants and a theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second phase of development is slated to begin in 2022<\/strong>. Once fully complete, Shambhala will boast a range of hotels, restaurants and bars, a golf course, amusement park, water park, diving club and other family and sports recreation facilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total cost of the Shambhala casino <\/strong>is estimated at RUB8bn (US$104m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NagaCorp’s project<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in the area was put on hold due to the pandemic, but work has restarted and the company expects the venue to be completed in 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
