From June 14,\u00a0<strong>Kangwon Land can receive up to 3,000 guests<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kangwon province is currently under what is known as &#8220;Level 1.5&#8221; standard, but\u00a0<strong>a move to Level 1 will let the casino operator increase its capacity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/kangwon-land-sales-down-58-7-in-q1\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kangwon Land<\/a>&nbsp;reported that&nbsp;<strong>sales during the first quarter of the year reached KRW97.4bn<\/strong>, down 58.7 per cent when compared to the KRW236bn seen in the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sales were also down 25.8 per cent from the last quarter of 2020<\/strong>, mainly due to a Covid-19 lockdown during the first part of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite a weak performance during the first quarter of 2021,<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/kangwon-land-could-see-earnings-improve-in-2022-analysts-say\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kangwon Land<\/a><strong>&nbsp;expects to see better performance<\/strong>&nbsp;for the rest of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to&nbsp;<strong>Shinhan Investment Corp<\/strong>, the South Korean casino could see a&nbsp;<strong>gradual recovery during 2021 and 2022<\/strong>&nbsp;as&nbsp;<strong>social distancing rules are eased&nbsp;<\/strong>following a rise in the vaccination rate in South Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kangwon Land has been seeing nearly<strong>&nbsp;2,000 daily average visitors but the number could grow to 8,000 visitors&nbsp;<\/strong>if the Covid-19 vaccine rate increases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kangwon Land has confirmed it has been allowed to increase its capacity to 50 per cent of normal levels from June 14.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":18929,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Kangwon Land, a South Korean casino operator, has secured approval to elevate its operational capacity to 50% from June 14, accommodating up to 3,000 guests.
