{"id":18821,"date":"2021-06-09T15:12:11","date_gmt":"2021-06-09T15:12:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=18821"},"modified":"2026-04-23T18:43:47","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T21:43:47","slug":"crown-melbourne-gaming-facilities-to-remain-closed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/crown-melbourne-gaming-facilities-to-remain-closed","title":{"rendered":"Crown Melbourne gaming facilities to remain closed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Crown Melbourne will reopen its hotel and food and beverage operations from Friday but gaming facilities will remain closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Australia.-&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/crown-melbourne-closure-extended-until-june-10\">Crown Melbourne<\/a>&nbsp;will reopen its hotel and food and beverage facilities on June 11 after a two-week lockdown but <strong>the Victorian Government has not granted the casino permission <\/strong>to resume its gaming activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The venue closed under Victoria&#8217;s latest lockdown after the state <strong>recorded six new Covid-19 cases&nbsp;<\/strong>in the last week of May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crown said it would <strong>continue to financially support staff&nbsp;<\/strong>who remain stood down, including the majority of gaming operational staff, by paying an additional discretionary payment.
