NagaCorp has announced it has listed US$200m 7.95 per cent senior notes which will not be convertible into shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Cambodia.- NagaCorp has reported that it is offering 7.95 per cent senior notes worth US$200m <\/strong>due July 6, 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NagaCorp said in a filing that after fees, commissions and expenses, the\u00a0net proceeds would amount to US$211.6m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group will\u00a0use the funds to strengthen the group\u2019s working capital<\/strong> as well as for general corporate purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said: “The\u00a0order book reached an amount of over US$580m\u00a0<\/strong>and the company believes that the success of this transaction reflects investors\u2019 confidence in the company\u2019s long-term strategy and solid credit profile.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NagaCorp<\/a>\u00a0previously entered a\u00a0purchase agreement for US$350m 7.95 per cent senior notes<\/strong>\u00a0last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group stated at the time that the funds would be used to redeem some or all of its outstanding 2021 notes<\/strong>, as well as for general corporate purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NagaCorp<\/a>\u00a0has confirmed plans to reduce pay and lay off employees\u00a0to improve cost efficiency<\/strong>\u00a0due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company has launched a rationalisation programme that it says will help deliver continued financial stability<\/strong> over the long term. NagaCorp said close to 600 employees will lose their positions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said: \u201cWe believe that\u00a0it is important for the Group to maintain operational and financial flexibility\u00a0<\/strong>to ensure that it remains focused and efficient during this period.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to an increase in Covid-19 cases in Cambodia, NagaWorld<\/a> temporarily suspended operations voluntarily on 2 March 2021<\/strong>. It has not reopened since.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
