Melco Resorts & Entertainment plans to open a casino dealer school next summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Cyprus.-\u00a0Melco Resorts & Entertainment<\/a>\u00a0continues to develop its\u00a0City of Dreams Mediterranean integrated resort\u00a0<\/strong>and in the meantime is seeking to train potential employees by opening a dealer school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\u00a0Melco Cyprus casino dealer school<\/strong>\u00a0is expected to be launched this summer in Limassol, where Melco operates a temporary casino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The company said: “[The casino-dealer school] will provide successful Dealer position candidates with the opportunity to\u00a0receive first-class paid training\u00a0<\/strong>to develop the required skills for success.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n The City of Dreams Mediterranean integrated resort is\u00a0expected to be launched in the summer of 2022<\/strong>. Once it opens, Melco hopes to create an estimated 4,000 local job opportunities and approximately 2,500 permanent jobs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Melco Cyprus currently\u00a0employs around 700 people<\/strong>, the vast majority of whom are Cypriot citizens. The casino operator expects that number to reach 1,500 in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The company will hold its fourth annual Open Career Day<\/strong>\u00a0on Friday, June 4 2021, offering candidates an opportunity to join its temporary casino in Limassol and satellite casinos in Nicosia, Ayia Napa and Paphos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Melco\u2019s casinos<\/a>\u00a0in Cyprus closed in December due to Covid-19 countermeasures\u00a0<\/strong>and was able to reopen at 30 per cent<\/a>\u00a0capacity on May 17.
