Emperor International Holdings has announced the payment of a special dividend after the acquisition of three properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Hong Kong.-\u00a0Emperor Entertainment Hotel <\/strong>has announced a\u00a0special dividend of HKD0.05 (US$0.006) per share<\/strong>, payable on June 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to local media, the decision is connected to the company’s\u00a0acquisition of three properties<\/a>\u00a0in Hong Kong for\u00a0US$260m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operator of the Macau casino venue the Grand Emperor Hotel wanted to expand the group\u2019s property development and hospitality operations beyond Macau<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emperor International<\/strong>, which owns 70.3 per cent of Emperor Entertainment, has also declared a\u00a0special dividend of HKD0.01 per share<\/strong> payable on the same date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emperor Entertainment Hotel Limited focuses on hotel, gaming and catering <\/strong>with the Grand Emperor Hotel and Inn Hotel Macau. Emperor International focus on property investment and property development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grand Emperor Hotel in Macau<\/a> has 67 mass-market tables<\/strong>, capacity for 180 slot machine seats, and a self-managed VIP gaming room with 10 tables. The firm also operates the non-gaming IHM hotel on Macau\u2019s Taipa Island<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emperor Entertainment<\/a>\u00a0has announced that it expects to record a\u00a0net loss of nearly HK$190m (US$24.5m)\u00a0<\/strong>for the fiscal year that ended March 31.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said the majority of the losses were recorded during the first half of the fiscal year <\/strong>due to Covid-19 pandemic countermeasures and the lack of tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
