That compares to a loss of HK$1.02bn (US$131m) for the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company saw<strong> a decrease in the direct cost of sales and services <\/strong>of the hotel business as well as administrative and other expenses but <strong>an increase in finance costs<\/strong> when compared to the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last year,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/south-shore-reports-us56m-net-losses-for-h1\">the company<\/a>&nbsp;reported<strong> HK$473.7m (US$56.4m) in net losses<\/strong> for the six months ending on September 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/south-shore-seeks-buyer-for-the-13-resort\">South Shore Holdings<\/a>\u00a0has been <strong>seeking prospective buyers for The 13 hotel and resort<\/strong>.
