{"id":17806,"date":"2021-05-12T16:16:41","date_gmt":"2021-05-12T16:16:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=17806"},"modified":"2026-04-23T19:37:40","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T22:37:40","slug":"sands-china-occupancy-reaches-90-over-labour-day-break","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/sands-china-occupancy-reaches-90-over-labour-day-break","title":{"rendered":"Sands China occupancy reaches 90% over Labour Day break"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sands China&#8217;s president, Wilfred Wong, has revealed that the occupancy rate and tourist spending was up during the Labour Day break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Macau.- Casino operator<strong>\u00a0Sands China Ltd\u00a0<\/strong>has reported an occupancy rate of 90 per cent for the Labour Day break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sands China president, Wilfred Wong said that although there were fewer tourists than on previous holidays,<strong>\u00a0people spent more and stayed longer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some\u00a0<strong>165,500 tourists came to Macau\u00a0<\/strong>during the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-received-165500-visitors-arrivals-over-labour-day-break\">Labour Day break<\/a>, with a peak of 44,000 arrivals on the first day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\u00a0<strong>Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO)<\/strong>\u00a0reported Macau an average occupancy rate of\u00a0<strong>83.2 per cent<\/strong>\u00a0for hotels and guest houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wong also referred to<strong>\u00a0the Londoner Court opening<\/strong>.
