Bernstein has reported\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-ggr-up-1-01-in-april\">Macau&#8217;s GGR<\/a>\u00a0for the first nine days of May, including the Labour Day break, reached an <strong>average daily rate of MOP500m (US$75m)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, JP Morgan analysts suggest that\u00a0<strong>GGR during the Labour Day break reached nearly MOP630m a day\u00a0<\/strong>and could have reached over 70 per cent of pre-pandemic levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some165,500\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-received-165500-visitors-arrivals-over-labour-day-break\">tourists visited Macau<\/a>\u00a0during the<strong>\u00a0Labour Day break<\/strong>\u00a0between May 1 and May 5, with a record of 44,000 arrivals on the first day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO)<\/strong>\u00a0reported an\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-occupancy-hits-83-2-during-labour-day-break\">average occupancy rate<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<strong>83.2 per cent<\/strong>\u00a0for hotels and guest houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now analysts expect\u00a0<strong>Macau&#8217;s GGR for the month to come in at over MOP10bn, <\/strong>and to reach between MOP11bn and MOP12bn in July and August.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to analysts, Macau&#8217;s casinos&#8217; gross gaming revenue for the first nine days of May was up 79 per cent month-on-month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":17733,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Macau's gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the initial nine days of May surged 79% month-on-month, driven by robust tourist arrivals during the Labour Day break.
