{"id":17669,"date":"2021-05-07T16:46:16","date_gmt":"2021-05-07T16:46:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=17669"},"modified":"2026-04-23T19:43:57","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T22:43:57","slug":"crown-perth-to-reopen-after-snap-lockdown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/crown-perth-to-reopen-after-snap-lockdown","title":{"rendered":"Crown Perth to reopen after snap lockdown"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Crown Perth has been allowed to resume gaming operations after the Western Australian government eased restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Australia.-\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/crown-perth-forced-to-close-again-until-at-least-may-8\">Crown Perth<\/a>\u00a0will<strong>\u00a0reopen its doors tomorrow (May 8)<\/strong>\u00a0after a brief lockdown imposed due to a<strong>\u00a0rise in Covid-19 cases.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The casino operator had been allowed to<strong>\u00a0resume operations on May 1\u00a0<\/strong>after a previous lockdown but\u00a0had to close again <strong>less than 48 hours later.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the government in Western Australia has now eased restrictions,\u00a0<strong>Crown Perth will operate at a reduced capacity<\/strong>\u00a0with a maximum density quotient of one person per two square metres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to government rules,\u00a0<strong>Crown Perth has to deactivate every second electronic gaming machine\u00a0<\/strong>and electronic table game for physical distancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crown Perth also said that <strong>hygiene protocols will remain in place<\/strong>\u00a0and that it will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities in Western Australia concerning Covid-19 measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WA Relationships Australia recently called for Western Australia\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Royal Commission<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>probe\u00a0<\/strong>into<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/australian-support-service-wants-crown-perth-opening-hours-reduced\">Crown Perth<\/a><strong>\u00a0to reduce the casino\u2019s opening hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Western Australia\u2019s Royal Commission<\/strong>\u00a0will decide if Crown is suitable to continue holding a casino gaming licence for\u00a0the venue.
