The consultation on gaming rights will be held on May 17 will gather legislators’ opinions about future gaming concessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Macau.-\u00a0\u00a0The Macau government<\/strong>\u00a0has announced it will hold a\u00a0consultation session<\/a>\u00a0with Legislative Assembly legislators on May 17 to gather their opinions on proposed amendments to Macau\u2019s gaming law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The consultation will also\u00a0include the participation of the 10-member Public Concessions Follow-up Committee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Macau\u2019s current casino licences\u00a0<\/strong>are due to\u00a0expire in June 2022<\/strong>, but according to the city’s gaming laws could be extended for up to five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As for the\u00a0consultation<\/a>, some analysts have suggested the upcoming retendering of Macau\u2019s casino licences could be the ideal time to\u00a0implement changes to the licence criteria<\/strong>\u00a0and to allow online gambling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
