In June around&nbsp;<strong>200 workers began a protest<\/strong>&nbsp;after&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagaworld-casino-workers\">NagaWorld<\/a>&nbsp;stopped paying salaries for suspended workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NagaCorp told local media it has worked hard to keep employees on the payroll and to avoid redundancies. The company reported&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagacorp-reports-revenue-of-us878-7m-for-2020\">Gross Gaming Revenue of US$878.7m<\/a> for 2020,&nbsp;<strong>down from US$1.8bn in 2019<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagaworld-reports-positive-recovery-in-mass-market-for-q1\">casino operator\u00a0<\/a>started to show\u00a0<strong>some signs of recovery in the first three months of the year\u00a0<\/strong>after reporting a\u00a0<strong>99.4 per cent increase in average daily mass table game buy-ins,\u00a0<\/strong>but growth was abruptly interrupted by new restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/cambodia-nagaworld-closed-as-employees-test-positive-for-covid-19\">suspended its operations in March<\/a> after 11 staff members tested positive for Covid-19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cambodia&#8217;s <strong>prime minister, Hun Sen<\/strong>, has announced the\u00a0<strong>end of the latest restrictions in the capital Phnom Penh from May 6<\/strong>.
