{"id":17431,"date":"2021-04-30T16:23:32","date_gmt":"2021-04-30T16:23:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=17431"},"modified":"2026-04-23T19:54:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T22:54:29","slug":"skycity-announces-us90m-bond-offer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/skycity-announces-us90m-bond-offer","title":{"rendered":"SkyCity announces US$90m bond offer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SkyCity is offering NZ$125m in bonds due May 21 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>New Zealand.-\u00a0<strong>SkyCity Entertainment Group\u00a0<\/strong>has announced a NZ$125m ($90m) unsubordinated, fixed-rate bond<strong>\u00a0available to institutional investors<\/strong>, certain overseas institutional investors and members of the public who are resident in New Zealand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bonds have a<strong>\u00a0due date of May 21, 2027\u00a0<\/strong>and will be available from May 10 to May 14.  The issue date will be May 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said:\u00a0<strong>\u201cAll of the bonds are being reserved for clients of the Joint Lead Managers<\/strong>, NZX Firms and other approved financial intermediaries.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bonds have received a\u00a0<strong>BBB- long-term issue rating<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0<strong>Standard &amp; Poors<\/strong>, which means SkyCity has adequate capacity to meet its financial commitments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Analysts said: \u201cWe view SkyCity&#8217;s Auckland casino to be\u00a0<strong>the highest quality asset in its portfolio\u00a0<\/strong>and a key driver of the group&#8217;s performance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Standard &amp; Poors\u00a0<\/strong>predicted\u00a0that <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/sp-upgrades-skycity-to-credit-stable\">SkyCity\u2019s earnings<\/a>\u00a0for fiscal year 2020, which ends on June 30, will reach at least 7<strong>5 per cent of fiscal 2019 levels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SkyCity is offering NZ$125m in bonds due May 21 2027.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":17432,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"SkyCity Entertainment Group is offering NZ$125m in unsubordinated, fixed-rate bonds due May 21, 2027, primarily to institutional investors and New Zealand residents.
