Since then, it has blocked<strong>\u00a0263 gambling websites<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The authority began enforcing new illegal offshore gambling rules in 2017 and\u00a0has since <strong>pulled over 130 services off the Australian market<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/why-is-online-gambling-so-popular-in-australia\">Online gambling sites gained popularity during the Covid-19 pandemic<\/a>.
