{"id":17057,"date":"2021-04-21T15:45:43","date_gmt":"2021-04-21T15:45:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=17057"},"modified":"2026-04-23T20:13:27","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T23:13:27","slug":"belle-corp-net-income-drops-70-in-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/belle-corp-net-income-drops-70-in-2020","title":{"rendered":"Belle Corp net income drops 70% in 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Belle Corp, which has an interest in the casino resort City of Dreams Manila, has posted a net income of PHP891.7m for 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Philippines.- The tourism and leisure developer\u00a0<strong>Belle Corp<\/strong>, a co-licensee of City of Dreams in Manila, has\u00a0<strong>reported a fall in net income of 70 per cent<\/strong>\u00a0year-on-year for 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Net income declined from PHP2.9bn (US$61.6m) in 2019 to PHP891.7m in 2020<\/strong>. <strong>Consolidated revenue<\/strong>\u00a0was down 44 per cent, from PHP7.7bn in 2019 to PHP4.2bn in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Belle Corp also revealed that\u00a0<strong>gaming revenue fell 79 per cent year-on-year to just under PHP635.2m (US$13.2m)<\/strong>, down from PHP2.9bn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company noted that <strong>the Covid-19 pandemic led to a decline in tourist arrivals<\/strong>,\u00a0while City of Dreams Manila also suffered from the suspension of gaming operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The casino reopened at 30 per cent capacity but has since <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/metro-manila-casinos-to-remain-closed\">closed together with other Metro Manila casinos<\/a>\u00a0until the current level of community quarantine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Belle Corp, which has an interest in the casino resort City of Dreams Manila, has posted a net income of PHP891.7m for 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Belle Corp, a co-licensee of City of Dreams Manila, reported a 70% year-on-year decline in net income to PHP891.7m for 2020, with consolidated revenue down 44%.
