{"id":16972,"date":"2021-04-19T15:12:05","date_gmt":"2021-04-19T15:12:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=16972"},"modified":"2026-04-23T20:17:25","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T23:17:25","slug":"okada-manila-ggr-down-41-in-q1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/okada-manila-ggr-down-41-in-q1","title":{"rendered":"Okada Manila GGR down 41% in Q1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Okada Manila has reported weak performance marked by the Covid-19 pandemic and resulting government countermeasures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The Philippines.- Okada Manila has reported a<strong> 41 per cent annual decline in gross gaming revnues for the first quarter. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GGR came in at PHP5.10bn (US$1.05bn), down from PHP8.64bn in the first three months of 2020. <strong>Adjusted segment EBIDTA<\/strong> fell by 35 per cent to\u00a0<strong>PHP692m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Okada Manila attributed its weak performance to the<strong>\u00a0suspension of business owing to Covid-19 countermeasures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company reported<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>that <strong>VIP table games GGR fell by 49 per cent<\/strong>\u00a0year-on-year while mass table games revenue was down 49.3 per cent at PHP861m. <strong>Gaming machines revenues dropped by 19 per cent<\/strong>\u00a0to PHP1.9bn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The casino operator<strong>\u00a0suspended operations in 2020<\/strong>\u00a0and later reopened but at<strong> 30 per cent capacity<\/strong>.
