In some cases, there is no opening date in sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">South Korea\u2019s foreigner-only\u00a0<strong>casino operators\u00a0<\/strong>depend almost entirely on the arrival of tourists. During the first two months of 2021 combined,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/tourism-in-south-korea-down-90-4-in-february\">tourist arrivals to South Korea were down 93.7 per cent<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Lotte Tour Development<\/strong>\u00a0recently received permission to transfer its casino to the Jeju Dream Tower, but\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/jeju-casino-opening-could-be-delayed-by-rise-in-covid-19-cases\">the company could face a new delay in opening due to the Covid-19 pandemic<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government has postponed <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/south-korean-casinos-allowed-to-postpone-sales-taxes-payment\">the deadline for South Korean casinos to pay their sales taxes<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to local media, <strong>Jeju has recorded 41 new Covid-19 cases during April<\/strong>.
