The<strong>\u00a0tax take was down 8.4 per cent\u00a0<\/strong>to MOP2.85bn. That&#8217;s a drop from MOP3.11bn in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Financial Services Bureau reported that\u00a0<strong>in 2020, tax collection from the gaming industry fell 74 per cent year-on-year<\/strong>\u00a0to MOP79.8bn. Total current revenue dropped by 65 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to\u00a0<strong>Deutsche Bank,\u00a0<\/strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-visitor-numbers-continue-to-rise-but-ggr-falls\">Macau\u2019s GGR for the second quarter of the year will reach US$2.96bn<\/a>, down\u00a0<strong>32 per cent <\/strong>from its previous prediction of US$4.39bn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although<strong>\u00a0Macau is seeing a slight recovery in visitation numbers<\/strong>, the city is still far from pre-pandemic levels.
