Friday saw the highest single-day tally on record with 15,310 new cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said<strong> measures could be eased next week to a Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine <\/strong>due to a lack of funding to continue support for low-income families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The country aims to reduce the current rate of infections from 12,000 a day<strong> to around 4,000 a day<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, the government announced that measures including\u00a0a ban on non-essential travel were <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/metro-manila-under-new-restrictions-to-contain-covid-19-cases\" target=\"_blank\">to remain in place in Metro Manila and four other provinces\u00a0until April 4<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Manila casinos extend closure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong> <\/strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/manila-casinos-close-until-april-4-as-covid-19-cases-rise\" target=\"_blank\">All gaming operations<\/a><\/em> will remain closed during the period of <strong>Enhanced Community Quarantine<\/strong>.
