Gambling is one of the oldest recreational activities in human history, and over the years it has grown into a multi-billion dollar industry. Casinos are now often found within immense resorts, which offer guests a multitude of activities, from live shows to spas and fitness centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asia holds some of the biggest and most exquisite casino resorts in the world, especially Macau<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, which has grown to become the gambling capital of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, the five largest casinos in the whole of Asia are all located there. Read on to see which they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Owned and operated by the casino giant Las Vegas Sands<\/strong>, The Venetian casino and hotel complex has 39 stories and spans a whopping 10,500,00 square feet.<\/strong> It’s the largest casino in Asia and the second largest in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around half the facility is used for gaming alone. The property houses over 500 gaming tables, over 2,000 slot machines <\/strong>as well as a selection of rare electronic table games such as Fast Action Baccarat and Dragon Tiger Fortune Spin.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The site also features shopping facilities, conference spaces <\/strong>and a 15,000 seat entertainment venue<\/strong> called the Cotai Arena.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

City of Dreams, Macau<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Opposite The Venetian, you’ll find the City of Dreams casino complex<\/strong>, a modern casino resort operated by Melco Resorts and Entertainment Belle Corporation. At 420,000 square feet<\/strong>, it’s under half the size of its neighbour, but it doesn’t lack in its offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resort contains three separate casinos<\/strong>, which together offer around 450 table games<\/strong> and over 1,500 slot machines<\/strong>, as well as VIP areas. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want more than gambling, the City of Dreams is a destination that offers something for everyone. The property also features four hotels, four spas, retail facilities including boutique shops, more than 30 bars and restaurants, a nightclub and a live water theatre. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third-largest casino in Asia is the Wynn Resorts property in Macau at 273,000 square feet. With eight Forbes Five-Star awards, a night at Wynn Macau is a safe bet for flawless service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first Las Vegas-style integrated resort in Asia<\/strong> has approximately 212 table games and 375 slot machines. <\/strong>With various striking art pieces throughout the interior, Wynn is a casino like no other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The site also features a shopping zone with big-name designer brands, an array of fine dining options and sophisticated bars, an art gallery, a pool and a spa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along the riverside in Macau’s Inner Harbour area, you’ll find the 270,000-square-foot casino Ponte 16. The gambling venue is operated by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, the same operators of the world-famous Grand Lisboa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you come to gamble, you’ll find 307 slots and video poker machines, 109 table games in the mass gaming area, and two VIP rooms. <\/strong>You’ll also have your pick of seven restaurants and bars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other features of the site include a five-star French hotel with a pool, <\/strong>spa and fitness centre, as well as a kids’ play centre, foot massage facility, a shopping zone with unusual finds from around the world and a performance zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sands Macau gaming property is the fifth biggest in Asia, spanning 229,000 square feet<\/strong>. While it is operated by the same Las Vegas casino giant as The Venetian, this resort offers an entirely different experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the casino, you’ll find around 200 tables and over 1,000 slots. <\/strong>Dining options include fast-food chains such as McDonald’s and KFC, and you can also find bar venues onsite. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other entertainment options include a spa and a theatre.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
