Oshidori International Holdings has reported record profits as it banks on winning the contest to become Nagasaki’s IR parner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Japan.- Oshidori International Holdings has reported a profit of HK$2.82bn (US$363m) for the fiscal year 2020<\/strong>, the highest profit since its listing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said that its tactical and\/or strategical investments segment had generated a profit of HK$3.20bn (US$412m)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oshidori <\/strong>says it’s confident of winning the contest to become Nagasaki<\/strong>‘s partner for its bid for an integrated resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In partnership with US tribal casino operator Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, it’s one of the three operators <\/strong>selected by Nagasaki\u2019s prefectural government<\/strong> as a potential partner for its bid to\u00a0develop an integrated resort\u00a0<\/strong>at the site of the Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Sase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group stated it will “fully devote to become an integrated resort operator<\/strong> for the Nagasaki Prefecture”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said it wanted to create a dynamic community for Nagasaki to become a premier travel destination<\/strong> and a sought-after residential location.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nagasaki\u2019s prefectural government has selected three operators to enter a competitive dialogue with the prefecture and city in May<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three groups are: Oshidori International Holdings<\/strong>,\u00a0Casinos Austria International<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Niki Chau Fwu Group.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June, the companies will have to submit\u00a0secondary examination documents. Nagasaki will select its final candidate<\/strong>\u00a0in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities recently announced that potential private partners that have qualified for the next phase may not participate in similar bidding processes<\/a><\/em> elsewhere in Japan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
