{"id":16046,"date":"2021-03-19T15:21:40","date_gmt":"2021-03-19T15:21:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=16046"},"modified":"2026-04-23T20:59:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T23:59:19","slug":"nagasaki-3-operators-selected-for-next-ir-round","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagasaki-3-operators-selected-for-next-ir-round","title":{"rendered":"Nagasaki: 3 operators selected for next IR round"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Oshidori International Holdings, Casinos Austria International and the Niki Chau Fwu Group are the three operators selected by Nagasaki prefecture to move forward into the next round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Japan.- <strong>Nagasaki\u2019s prefectural government<\/strong> has announced the three operators that it has selected as potential partners for its bid to <strong>develop an integrated resort <\/strong>at the site of the Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Sasebo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>five initial contenders<\/strong> for the bid have been whittled down to three operators, who will progress to the next round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Oshidori International Holdings<\/strong>, <strong>Casinos Austria International<\/strong> and <strong>Niki Chau Fwu Group <\/strong>will now enter a competitive dialogue with the prefecture and city to be held <strong>in May<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two bidders that didn&#8217;t make it to the next round were <strong>Current Group<\/strong> and <strong>One Kyushu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June, the companies will have to submit <strong>secondary examination documents<\/strong>. Nagasaki is due to<strong> select its final candidate<\/strong> in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>successful <\/strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagasaki-ir-partner-to-cover-us1-5m-in-rfp-costs\" target=\"_blank\">IR partner\u00a0will have to pay\u00a0JPY158m (US$1.5m)<\/a><\/em>\u00a0for the Request for proposal process and JPY10m (US$92,000) for a background check. Nagasaki hopes to begin its IR development in the mid or late 2020s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Japan plans to initially approve <strong>three integrated resorts in the country<\/strong>.
