The \u201cStay Strong Together and Support our Hometown Shopping Streets!\u201d project will begin in April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Japan.- Gaming company Melco Resorts & Entertainment Japan has partnered with football club Yokohama F. Marinos<\/strong> in order to provide support to selected high streets across the city.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project, known as \u201cStay Strong Together and Support our Hometown Shopping Streets!<\/strong>\u201d, will begin in April<\/strong>. It aims to reduce some of the economic damage done to the high street due to the coronavirus pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two entities will work together to produce a shopping street support video using Yokohama F. Marinos players. <\/strong>The video will be broadcasted on the Nissan Stadium’s large screens at host games<\/strong> with the participating shopping street names in LED advertisements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will also be prize draws<\/strong> with tickets and signed goods up for grabs, as well as a social media campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five streets were chosen to be involved, <\/strong>after a total of 300 applied. On Sunday, the representatives of each shopping street were invited to a home game of Yokohama F. Marinos at Nissan Stadium to announce the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talking of his own company’s recovery, Lawrence Ho<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, chairman and CEO of Melco Resorts and Entertainment, has said he is confident that the city\u2019s casino sector\u00a0will recover during the second quarter<\/strong>\u00a0of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ho also said last month that he sees Japan as \u201cthe best potential new gaming market globally,\u201d and that the company is committed to seeking\u00a0IR license<\/a><\/strong><\/em> in the country. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
