{"id":15890,"date":"2021-03-16T15:05:05","date_gmt":"2021-03-16T15:05:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=15890"},"modified":"2026-04-23T21:05:43","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T00:05:43","slug":"macau-to-allow-entry-of-foreign-visitors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-to-allow-entry-of-foreign-visitors","title":{"rendered":"Macau to allow entry of foreign visitors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Foreign visitors will be allowed to return Macau via mainland China only provided they hold a visa from Chinese authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Macau.- <strong>The Macau government <\/strong>has announced it will<strong> begin to allow entry of non-residents <\/strong>with certain requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For now, Macau will only allow the entry of returning <strong>foreign visitors <\/strong>who travelled to mainland China from Macau with<strong> a visa issued by the Office of the Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visitors must <strong>return to Macau within the visa\u2019s period<\/strong> <strong>of validity<\/strong> and must not have been anywhere outside mainland China or Macau in the previous 21 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before this executive order, foreign visitors to Macau were limited to <strong>those deemed to serve a public interest<\/strong> such as disease prevention and control or emergency rescue, registered non-resident workers or students registered at a local institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/covid-19-vaccine-passports-could-speed-up-macau-tourism-recovery\" target=\"_blank\">Macau is still waiting for the return of e-visas<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.
