{"id":15851,"date":"2021-03-15T16:48:03","date_gmt":"2021-03-15T16:48:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=15851"},"modified":"2026-04-23T21:06:40","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T00:06:40","slug":"primorye-gambling-hub-continues-to-progress-officials-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/primorye-gambling-hub-continues-to-progress-officials-says","title":{"rendered":"Primorye gambling hub continues to progress, officials says"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Several projects are moving forward in Russia&#8217;s Primorye gambling zone, including NagaCorp&#8217;s Naga Vladivostok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Russia.- <strong>The Primorye gambling hub in Russia is continuing to develop <\/strong>and there has been no change to the plan to eventually host <strong>12 casino complexes<\/strong> despite slow process, officials say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Videos have emerged in the Russian media showing the construction of various properties taking place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first resort in the zone, <strong>Summit Ascent\u2019s Tigre de Cristal, opened to the public in 2015.<\/strong> It was followed almost five years later by <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" style=\"font-weight: bold\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/russias-shambala-casino-to-open-on-friday\" target=\"_blank\">Shambhala<\/a><\/em>, which opened at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, the <strong>construction of the hotel tower for Naga Vladivostok was completed and the casino podium was reported to be at level 2. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/primorye-to-expedite-permits-for-nagacorps-russian-casino-resort\" target=\"_blank\">NagaCorp project<\/a><\/em><\/strong> was put on pause due to the pandemic<strong>, but work has restarted and the company estimates that the venue will be completed in 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the region&#8217;s travel restrictions begin to ease, <strong>the gambling hub is expected to be popular destination due to its proximity to Korea, Japan and Northern China.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The zone has faired better than other gambling hubs in the region throughout the pandemic.
