{"id":15846,"date":"2021-03-15T16:07:42","date_gmt":"2021-03-15T16:07:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=15846"},"modified":"2026-04-23T21:07:16","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T00:07:16","slug":"skycity-auckland-to-reopen-without-covid-19-restrictions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/skycity-auckland-to-reopen-without-covid-19-restrictions","title":{"rendered":"SkyCity Auckland to reopen without Covid-19 restrictions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SkyCity\u2019s Auckland casino can now operate without Covid-19 restrictions after the city moved&nbsp;from Alert Level 2 to Alert Level 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>New Zealand.- <strong>SkyCity Entertainment Group <\/strong>has announced that its Auckland property can now <strong>operate without Covid-19 restrictions<\/strong> on mass gatherings and physical distancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The casino<strong> was closed during the first days of March <\/strong>after a new case of Covid-19 was identified in Auckland. <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/skycity-auckland-to-reopen-from-march-7\" target=\"_blank\">It then reopened its doors on March 7<\/a><\/em> following the New Zealand Government\u2019s announcement that <strong>the Covid-19 alert level was lowered to level 2 in Auckland<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, as Auckland has moved <strong>from Alert Level 2 to Alert Level 1<\/strong> of the COVID-19 Alert System, the SkyCity Auckland could operate without restrictions on mass gatherings and physical distancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alert Level 1 assumes that Covid-19 is contained and<strong> recommends the wearing of masks and social distancing, rather than mandating them<\/strong>.
