{"id":15633,"date":"2021-03-09T15:35:20","date_gmt":"2021-03-09T15:35:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=15633"},"modified":"2026-04-23T21:15:01","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T00:15:01","slug":"nagacorp-pays-h2-profits-to-shareholders-after-2020-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagacorp-pays-h2-profits-to-shareholders-after-2020-results","title":{"rendered":"NagaCorp pays H2 profits to shareholders after 2020 results"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NagaCorp will pay 100 per cent of net profits from the second half of 2020 to thank \u201cloyal\u201d shareholders for their support during the Covid-19 crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Hong Kong.- After <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagacorp-reports-us101-4m-profit-for-2020\" target=\"_blank\">reporting net profit of US$101.4m for its 2020 financial year<\/a><\/em>,<\/strong> casino operator NagaCorp has announced a special<strong> \u201cHardship Relief Dividend\u201d for shareholders<\/strong> to mark its rapid recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>casino operator saw a 99 per cent sequential increase in EBITDA <\/strong>and 297 per cent increase in net profit in H2 when compared with the first six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said: &#8220;As a reward to the shareholders who believe in the long-term growth of the Group despite today\u2019s difficult times and in order to alleviate any sufferings, if any, of <strong>these loyal shareholders who have stayed on faithfully with us during the Covid-19 crisis<\/strong>, the Board has recommended an unprecedented<strong> 100 per cent dividend payout of net profits generated for the second half of 2020 <\/strong>as final dividend for the year.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>NagaWorld casino complex <\/strong>in Cambodia has had to <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/cambodia-nagaworld-closed-as-employees-test-positive-for-covid-19\" target=\"_blank\">suspend operations after 11 staff tested positive for Covid-19 last week<\/a><\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NagaCorp will pay 100 per cent of net profits from the second half of 2020 to thank \u201cloyal\u201d shareholders for their support during the Covid-19 crisis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":15635,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"NagaCorp has declared an unprecedented 100% \"Hardship Relief Dividend\" from its second-half 2020 net profits, rewarding shareholders for their support during the Covid-19 crisis.
