Macau Legend\u2019s current access to gaming rights is under services agreements with Macau casino licensee SJM Holdings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- Melinda Chan, executive director at Hong Kong-listed Macau Legend, said the company still hopes to become a Macau gaming concessionaire in its own right<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company currently operates three casinos through services agreements under SJM Holdings’ gaming licence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chan said: “If the government gives a chance to local companies, and we get the chance to take part in the tender, of course, we will try our best<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macau’s casino licensees expect to face a public tender for Macau gaming rights<\/strong> since current permits expire in June 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macau Legend Executive Director and CEO Levo Chan<\/strong><\/a><\/em> has not expressed an opinion on the potential of a licence but said the company was working on a \u201cnew development plan\u201d for Macau’s Fisherman\u2019s Wharf<\/strong>, its waterfront gaming and tourism complex located close to the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the company’s Cape Verde casino plan<\/a><\/em>,<\/strong> which was originally supposed to complete this year but was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Melinda Chan said: “After we finish the foundations, we will stop for a while since afterwards we need to do a tender.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
