The gambling regulator from Malta has published the Amusement Machines Directive for operators that wish to apply for licences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Malta.- The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has issued the Amusement Machine Directive in relation to the requirements that apply to amusement machines. The directive is for companies that wish to operate such type of machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The MGA said that any person that wishes to operate \u2013 or in any other manner make available for use \u2013 an amusement machine in premises accessible to the public must submit the \u201cApplication for the Registration of Amusement Machines.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the regulator, the application can be submitted by hand, by post or sent to an email, along with the relevant enclosures that the application by the MGA establishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The MGA and the Malta Football Association (MFA) have signed a Data Sharing Agreement in the FA\u2019s headquarters in Ta\u2019 Qali. The agreement allows them to share data and exchange relevant information related to the prevention and investigation of match-fixing and corruption incidents in sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The MGA said that the agreement is necessary for the data sharing process between the MGA and the Malta FA to ensue, as established by law. The agreement ensures that areas of mutual regulatory interest are thoroughly and promptly investigated and that both parties are in possession of all necessary data to efficiently carry out their regulatory obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MGA\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Heathcliff Farrugia, stated: \u201cThis Data Sharing Agreement follows a number of MoUs signed by the MGA with other regulatory bodies throughout 2019, and also ties in perfectly with MGA\u2019s recent establishment of a dedicated Sports Integrity Unit.
