In addition, the company will be opening a new office in the major port city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since Japan announced that will give <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/japan-casinos-proposals\">3 IR licences<\/a><\/em><\/strong> in 2021, Wynn Resorts had expressed its interest in bidding for a major urban resort. It was one of the seven entities involved in Osaka\u2019s request-for-concept (RFC) phase&nbsp; that began in late April but last October they confirmed that Osaka was no longer an objective. The last days, the company informed its new interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have been carefully investigating and studying candidate sites all over Japan. Yokohama already has many attractive tourist facilities, and its MICE facilities have a high potential. We think it is a place where tourists can base their stays in Japan,\u201d said CEO Matt Maddox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the race for an IR in Yokohama has a lot of competitors. Melco Resorts &amp; Entertainment already declared its \u201cYokohama First\u201d policy and intention to open a local office in September.
