China.- A study conducted by the University of Saint Joseph <\/strong>has concluded that casino management should improve its recognition of employees efforts<\/strong> because casino dealers\u2019 evaluation of their career success is significantly lower than their work engagement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The study measured “subjective career success<\/strong>” which refers to the employee\u2019s evaluation of their own career success<\/strong>. That includes variables such as age, career stage, aspirations, and opinions of significant others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The study reads: “Employees at Macau perceive that they \u2018have to\u2019 stay at gaming industry while they \u2018want to\u201d stay among non-gaming industries revealing that casino dealer is less likely to generate a sense of success at career.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n The study found that the job of the casino dealer is a challenging and dynamic role<\/strong> but that employees aren’t able to obtain a sense of success<\/strong>, while market conditions prevent them from seeking other careers. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The study says that management must generate a sense of success among employees.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It argues: “Casino management can improve the dealers\u2019 work engagement by praising the employees <\/strong>who hold the great value of hard work, or with good performance, recognizing them as a role model of possessing good attitudes and behaviours at work.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Earlier this month, Ao Ieong U, Macau\u2019s secretary for social affairs and culture, announced that casino dealers are on the city\u2019s priority list to receive <\/strong>vaccination against Covid-19<\/strong>.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\nDealers made a priority for Covid-19 vaccine <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
