{"id":14148,"date":"2021-02-03T15:16:37","date_gmt":"2021-02-03T15:16:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=14148"},"modified":"2026-04-23T22:08:50","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T01:08:50","slug":"macau-gaming-regulator-appoints-new-deputy-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-gaming-regulator-appoints-new-deputy-director","title":{"rendered":"Macau gaming regulator appoints new deputy director"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The DICJ has named former crime investigator Lio Chi Chong in a one-year appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Macau.-&nbsp;The Macau government has<strong> appointed Lio Chi Chong as the new deputy director<\/strong> of the <strong>Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau<\/strong> (DICJ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The appointment follows the departure of <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-regulators-deputy-director-takes-unpaid-leave\" target=\"_blank\">Leong Man Ion<\/a><\/em><\/strong> for personal reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chi Chong will support <strong>the DICJ&#8217;s director in optimising the gaming regulator&#8217;s work <\/strong>through the use of information technology, the bureau said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He joined the gaming regulator last August as a <strong>senior technician in the legal area<\/strong>.
