{"id":14083,"date":"2021-02-02T15:35:42","date_gmt":"2021-02-02T15:35:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=14083"},"modified":"2026-04-23T22:09:46","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T01:09:46","slug":"nagacorp-announces-share-award-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagacorp-announces-share-award-scheme","title":{"rendered":"NagaCorp announces share award scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The casino operator has announced the award to incentivise key employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Hong Kong.- Casino operator and developer NagaCorp,\u00a0which runs the <strong>NagaWorld <\/strong>complex in Cambodia, has announced it will award nearly 19.23m shares to employees, including to the firm\u2019s directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total market value of the proposed initial grant is US$22.1m, according to the firm\u2019s filing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pending the approval of the company\u2019s independent shareholders, <strong>nearly 10.23m shares would go to NagaCorp\u2019s directors, and 9.0m to other employees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NagaCorp said it had adopted the share award scheme to \u201ccontinue to attract skilled and experienced personnel, to <strong>incentivise them to remain with the group<\/strong>, and\/or to recognise their contribution to the group by providing them with the opportunity to obtain equity interests in the company.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants of the Share Award Scheme will include directors and directors of the subsidiaries and <strong>employees that the board considers have contributed or will contribute to the group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said that<strong> details will be sent to shareholders <\/strong>on or <strong>before February 5 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NagaCorp has plans for a new US$350m non-gaming resort to be built at Angkor Wat<\/strong>, Siem Reap. <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/moodys-tags-nagacorp-project-as-credit-negative\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Moody\u2019s graded the project as \u201ccredit negative.\u201d<\/strong><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The casino operator has announced the award to incentivise key employees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":14085,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"NagaCorp, the casino operator behind Cambodia's NagaWorld, has announced a share award scheme totaling 19.23m shares, valued at US$22.1m, to incentivize key employees and directors.
