They will then have to present their projects in August for the prefecture to make a final decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The prefecture and <strong>Sasebo City Council<\/strong> plas to pass a resolution on its casino resort proposal by <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagasaki-to-select-ir-operator-next-summer\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cspringtime\u201d 2022<\/a><\/em><\/strong> before making their submission to the national government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Contenders for Nagasaki\u2019s IR<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the prefecture&#8217;s integrated resort promotion division did not name the five groups competing to become its private operator partner, there are <strong>four known contenders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They include <strong>Casinos Austria; Pixel Company <\/strong>with <strong>Groupe Partouche<\/strong>; and <strong>Get Nice Holdings<\/strong> with <strong>Current Corp<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Oshidori International Development<\/strong> and US tribal casino operator <strong>Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment<\/strong> have also announced a <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/mohegan-and-oshidori-partner-for-nagasaki-ir-bid\" target=\"_blank\">partnership<\/a><\/em><\/strong> to enter the bidding process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The prefecture has not named the competing companies but says they are from Europe, the US and Asia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":13975,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Nagasaki prefecture has confirmed five groups, including major international entities, have entered its Request for Proposal (RFP) process for an Integrated Resort (IR) license.
