{"id":13970,"date":"2021-01-30T14:45:42","date_gmt":"2021-01-30T14:45:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=13970"},"modified":"2026-04-23T22:14:27","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T01:14:27","slug":"500-com-takes-majority-stake-in-loto-interactive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/500-com-takes-majority-stake-in-loto-interactive","title":{"rendered":"500.com takes majority stake in Loto Interactive"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Chinese lottery services provider will acquire shares to take its interest in the company from about 33 per cent to over 54 per cent of all issued capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>China.- The Chinese lottery services provider<strong> 500.com<\/strong> has announced it has entered an agreement to gain a <strong>majority stake<\/strong> in partner <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/500-com-sells-shares-and-plans-crypto-venture\" target=\"_blank\">Loto Interactive Limited<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Providing that shareholders approve the deal, 500.com will acquire 169,354,839 Loto Interactive shares for <strong>HK$105m (US$13.5m).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will increase its stake from <strong>33.7 per cent<\/strong> <strong>to about 54.2 per cent<\/strong> of the issued share capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the operation is complete, Loto Interactive is expected to become a <strong>subsidiary of 500.com<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company added that customers of Loto Interactive&#8217;s big data centres are mainly engaged in <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/500-com-to-acquire-bitcoin-mining-machines\" target=\"_blank\">cryptocurrency mining<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, an area in which this company is investing heavily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Further acquisitions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, Loto Interactive has entered into an agreement to acquire the remaining equity interests in its indirectly held<strong> subsidiary<\/strong>, <strong>Ganzi Changhe Hydropower Consumption Service<\/strong> from two sellers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is reported to have paid RMB88.2m (<strong>US$13.6m<\/strong>) in cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Loto Interactive currently indirectly owns approximately 51 per cent of the equity interests in Ganzi Changhe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chinese lottery services provider will acquire shares to take its interest in the company from about 33 per cent to over 54 per cent of all issued capital.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":13972,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"500.com, a Chinese lottery services provider, is set to acquire a majority stake in Loto Interactive Limited, increasing its ownership from 33.7% to 54.2% for HK$105m.
