The casino operator’s charitable foundation has donated funds for the construction of a medical centre for the national police office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Philippines.- Casino operator Resorts World Manila has donated <\/strong>US$10.5m through its charity institution, the Philippines Cultural Heritage Foundation (RWPCHF)<\/strong>, for the construction of the National Capital Region Police Office Medical Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The medical centre will be located in Taguig City, Manila. The presentation ceremony was attended by RWPCHF, gaming regulator PAGCOR and the Philippine National Police (PNP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Andrea Domingo<\/strong> noted that casino licensees are required to establish a foundation for the restoration of cultural heritage as part of the regulator’s rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said: \u201cA percentage of their gross gaming revenues are set aside for these foundations<\/strong>, which shall be used for the protection, conservation and restoration of cultural heritage sites in the Philippines; improvement of public schools in the country; and provision of quality healthcare services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur Entertainment City licensees, through their foundations, have been contributing a lot to the country\u2019s health sector. Apart from their Covid-19 efforts<\/span><\/a><\/em><\/strong>, they are also donating a hefty amount for the establishment of healthcare facilities around the Philippines.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travellers\u2019 president and CEO Kingson Sian noted the importance of the contributions to health during the pandemic<\/span><\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
