After the death of the company’s founder, Sheldon Adelson, Robert Goldstein has taken up his position as CEO and chairman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- Sands China<\/strong> has officially announced the appointment of Robert Glen Goldstein<\/strong> as executive director, chairman of the board and CEO, effective from today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goldstein succeeds the gaming group’s founder, Sheldon Adelson, after his death<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. As well as his position at Sands China, he will also take over as chairman and CEO of Las Vegas Sands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He previously held the position of chairman of Sands China’s Capital Expenditure Committee and Nomination Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goldstein has held other senior executive positions at Las Vegas Sands and its subsidiaries since 1995.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sands China transition<\/strong> prepared<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The death of the company’s founder is not likely to impact on the business’s strategy according to most analysts<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The casino tycoon had already taken a leave of absence to undergo cancer treatment for non-Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and a transition was well-anticipated and planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David Green, principal at Newpage Consulting, said about Goldstein: \u201cHe has had stable management in place for some years in all of the geographically diverse operations of the group.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts with Sanford C. Bernstein agreed: \u201cWe see company management well-positioned to maintain the broad strategy that has been in place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
