The operator says rumours that it is looking to sell the Okada Manila casino are \u201cfalse and fake news\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Philippines.- Tiger Resort Leisure and Entertainmen<\/strong>t, a subsidiary of Japan\u2019s Universal Entertainment Corp, has denied rumours <\/strong>that it is considering a potential sale of assets<\/strong>, including the Okada Manila<\/strong> casino resort<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a press release, the firm said: \u201cIt appears that certain persons and groups are spreading claims and rumours that Okada Manila\u2019s business or assets are for sale. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Please be advised that such claims and rumours are false and fake news.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It added: \u201cWe urge the public to consult only credible sources to avoid misinformation<\/strong> and avoid being victimised by scammers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okada Manila and online gaming<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Okada Manila also responded to reports that unrelated parties were using its brand to operate an unauthorised online casino.<\/span><\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company said: \u201cIt appears that certain persons and groups are promoting an online casino claiming to be operated by Okada Manila\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPlease be advised that such claims are false. Okada Manila does not operate an online gaming<\/strong> facility or service<\/strong> at present. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We urge the public not to patronise these unauthorised online gaming operations, which are illegal and punishable under the law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company said it may take legal action<\/strong> against those infringing on its corporate identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said: \u201cThe use of Okada Manila\u2019s name, brand and trademarks without our authority or consent constitutes violation against the law. Necessary legal action will be taken against violators.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okada Manila is also one of three Philippine casinos<\/strong> to have received authorisation from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp <\/strong>(PAGCOR) to offer online services<\/strong> under Philippine Inland Gaming Operator (PIGO<\/a><\/em><\/strong>) licences.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
