The date of The Londoner\u2019s inauguration was announced at a rally attended by 2,000 members of staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- Sands China has confirmed the official opening of Phase I of its new Cotai property, The Londoner, for February 8.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company revealed the information at a rally<\/strong> attended by more than 2,000 staff members, held at The Londoner Theatre<\/strong> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sands China president, Dr. Wilfred Wong, saidL “The success of any of our integrated resorts is directly tied to the dedication of our hard-working team members, who bring our properties to life each day and provide unforgettable experiences and world-class service to our guests and visitors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A team of over 5,700 people<\/strong> will be in place for the grand opening of The Londoner. In addition, more than 4,900 Sands China team members have taken a “Londoner’s Pride” training programme totalling nearly 49,000 cumulative training hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The London-inspired resort<\/strong> on the Cotai Strip involved a US$1.9bn investment to renovate the Cotai Central<\/a><\/em><\/strong> property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening of Phase I <\/strong>will be followed by other openings during 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first phase will unveil the all-suite The Londoner Hotel, the ‘wow’ Crystal Palace atrium, new dining options and interactive London-themed attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, the resort will inaugurate the Suites by David Beckham<\/strong>, Macao’s first celebrity-designed hotel rooms, and Londoner Court<\/strong>, a luxury residential-style all-suite hotel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the resort will reopen Shoppes <\/strong>at Londoner and the Londoner Arena.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the rally, Wong delivered an emotional tribute <\/strong>to Las Vegas Sands and Sands China chairman and chief executive officer Sheldon G. Adelson<\/strong>, who passed away on January 11. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
