Macau.- Macau\u2019s Judiciary Police (PJ) have confirmed that four locals have been indicted for fraud after allegedly selling HK$1.47m (US$189,790) in fake VIP gaming chips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The authorities said a local businessman met with one of the suspects who promised to sell him VIP gaming chips at a discount rate in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On January 10, the suspect allegedly offered chips worth HK$1.5m ($193,454) in exchange for HK$1.47m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victim and another businessman agreed to make the deal, withdrawing HK$1.47m ($189,778) in cash from a VIP room at a NAPE casino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The money was handed to another suspect, who is still at large, in exchange for the chips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The businessman discovered the chips were fake when he then tried to pay a debt in another VIP room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
