Resorts World Genting has remained open<\/a><\/em><\/strong> through the second wave of the pandemic in the country. It has said it will now suspend some attractions to comply with the countermeasures.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe new measures announced by Malaysia\u2019s prime minister, Muhyiddin Yassin, on Monday cover five states, Penang, Selangor, Melaka, Johor and Sabah, and the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Interstate travel is banned across the country, while journeys between districts are not allowed within those states placed under the movement control order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RWG said: \u201cWith this announcement, we anticipate a decline in the number of visitors to\u00a0Resorts World Genting. Hence, we will be operating at a lower capacity and some of our offerings may not be available from\u00a0January 13″.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It added that its\u00a0hotels, facilities, attractions and other offerings would be subject to revised operating hours, limited availability or temporary closure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The country\u00a0is currently facing a new wave of Covid-19 cases: it recorded 3,309 new cases in the 24 hours up to noon on Tuesday, a new daily record. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
