The new budget in Denmark increases taxes for iGaming and sports betting providers by 8%, which brings the total to 28%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government believes that increasing the taxes to 38% will make them perceive an extra \u20ac20.1 million in profits into government coffers, Xinhua reported. The measure received support from Unity List, Radicals, SF and the Alternative Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government decided to increase the taxes for iGaming and sports betting operators as it believed that it was significantly lower than the one land-based casinos pay. A 45% on gaming gross revenue (GGR) tax is paid by casinos, and an extra 30% on revenue higher than \u20ac535k.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Denmark\u2019s regulator launches awareness campaign<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Spillemyndigheden<\/em><\/strong>, the gambling regulator from Denmark, has announced the launch of a new campaign that intends to bring awareness. The\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/denmark-awareness-campaign-gambling\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>new campaign<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is part of the StopSpillet initiative launched earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gambling regulator has released different films that will be featured on TV, social media and streaming services. The three films are part of the Pokerfj\u00e6s campaign and highlight the three different compulsive gamblers and their relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Gambling revenue falls<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Gambling activity in Denmark during the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/gambling-denmark-third-quarter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><em>third quarter<\/em><\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;of the year wasn\u2019t as good as expected.
