These results represent a 5% increase when compared to the same period in 2018 and a 7% rise from the second quarter of 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All segments increased their revenues from the previous quarter, with the exception of casinos, which registered a 4% decline from Q2 but 9% up from a year before. Of the total GGR in the third quarter, betting accounted for 53%, casino 35%, poker 11% and bingo 2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Betting revenue registered a 17% rise when compared to the second quarter and 3% from 2018. Bingo posted a 5% rise in Q2 and a 1% increase from 2018. Poker experienced a 6% revenue increase from the second quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, the financial report details that the monthly average of accounts active in the third quarter was 869,499. This number represents a 1% increase from 2018, while the average of new accounts was 253,678 and an 8% rise from the previous quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gambling industry in Spain also increased numbers in the marketing sector, as spend for the third quarter was \u20ac82.3 million. An annual growth of 6% can be attributed to a 46% rise in sponsorship and 11% in affiliates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Spain fights match-fixing<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The sports betting market in Spain&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/match-fixing-spain-gambling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><em>will collaborate to stop the reported threats around sports leagues<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.
