However, he highlighted there has been a positive trend and a greater flow of visitors from neighbouring regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite China reinstating its SAR individual tourist visa scheme for all provinces from September 23, Macau only reached its largest number of visitors on the New Year’s Eve holiday, with a total of 30,747 visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That was the highest number of arrivals in a single day for the past 11 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The official made his comments after the inauguration of a new Greater Bay Area Human Resources Development Association, and stated that authorities have carried out various promotional activities since September 6 last year aimed to boost the economy, with offers covering some 105,000 hotel rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the policy had been “well-received by tourists from Mainland China”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
