{"id":13101,"date":"2021-01-07T09:03:22","date_gmt":"2021-01-07T09:03:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=13101"},"modified":"2026-04-23T22:54:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T01:54:12","slug":"studio-city-expects-to-raise-us750m-from-new-notes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/studio-city-expects-to-raise-us750m-from-new-notes","title":{"rendered":"Studio City expects to raise US$750m from new notes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Phase two of the company\u2019s Cotai casino complex was delayed and there\u2019s no expected date of completion yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Macau.- Studio City Finance Limited has offered new senior notes to the market that are due in 2029.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The wholly-owned subsidiary of Studio City International Holdings expects to raise close to US$750m from the offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The net proceeds will be used to fund the conditional cash tender offer announced on 4 January  2021 for any and all of its outstanding 7.250% senior notes due in 2024 and to pay all fees and costs related to the proposed notes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a filling the company said that in case and if any amount remains, it will be destined to partially fund the capital expenditures of the remaining project for Studio City and for general corporate purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company was planning <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/studio-citys-expansion-likely-to-be-delayed-further\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">to expand its Cotai casino<\/a><\/em><\/strong> complex, with work set to to be finished by May 2022, but the works were delayed due to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Phase two will offer approximately 900 additional luxury hotel rooms and suites, one of the world\u2019s largest indoor\/outdoor water parks, a Cineplex, fine-dining restaurants and MICE space.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Phase two of the company\u2019s Cotai casino complex was delayed and there\u2019s no expected date of completion yet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Studio City Finance Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Studio City International Holdings, has offered new senior notes due 2029 to raise approximately US$750m.
