Hong Kong has made<\/a><\/em><\/strong> a similar move for arrivals from the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe changes come after an increase in cases of a new strain of Covid-19 in the UK. According to Britain’s Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre Coordinator Dr. Leong Iek Hou, positive matches of the new virus have been reported after the usual 14-day contagion period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People entering Macau from middle-risk areas in mainland China (Beijing, Chengdu, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang and Liaoning) and from Taiwan, will still have to quarantine for 14 days. Arrivals from low-risk areas in those countries are exempt from any quarantine measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All travellers who have already entered Macau from any destination other than Taiwan and mainland China and are still under medical observation will have to complete the 21-day period of self-health management at home. They will have to take a nucleic acid test on the 20th day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
