That represents a fall of 97.7 per cent compared to the same month in 2019 and the 14th consecutive month of decline for Japanese tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tourism has been heavily impacted by restrictions imposed by the Government to contain the spread of Covid-19, as well as by travel restrictions imposed by other countries in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Programmes such as \u201cbusiness track\u201d and \u201cresidence track\u201d between Japan and certain countries have begun to boost the activity, with a limited number of entries from all regions allowed since October 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The JNTO said: \u201cThe Covid-19 pandemic has caused the demand for tourism in the world to remain stagnant.
